Having just celebrated St.David’s Day we can confidently say we are well on the way to the explosion of ‘Spring’ hurrah! Many of you will be contemplating the Boot Camp experience at the forthcoming Fund Raising Day? How energised you will feel afterwards and what a great kick start for your fitness regime! There are still places don’t be shy.
What’s going on in the Rainbows?
Scotland is complete and now we are on the topic of Design. We are looking at geometric shapes, Debbie has been on a course in preparation for the Commonwealth Games and of course the Olympics and together with Kieran Luca’s Daddy we are under construction. Alan Esme’s Daddy is coming to do a music work shop so we can explore instruments around the world. Ben’s Lapthorn’s Mummy Julia is coming to help us with the Olympic construction. We enjoyed a very happy visit to Scotland Street Museum and this has been the inspiration.
Many of the children are writing and we want to support their work with the creation of diaries, the lending library is up and well used as is recycling keep it coming!
We will have the Science Man on the 28th in the morning.
As an ongoing we are still hopeful of a successful replacement for our Jenny but feel there is no urgency.
What’s going on in the Raindrops?
Topsy and Tim are caring for there pets. We shall be vets, nurses and dentists. We hope that the children will have a special visit from the zoo, the Blind Dogs Association and a parent or two. This group are progressing steadily and you can now really see the children comfortable, busy in their work cycle and in and out of the Rainbow room. It is very happy environment. The feedback from the parents meeting have been greatly received and all staff feel very pleased with how things are progressing. Both rooms would welcome parents to observe their work so please sign up.
What are we concentrating on?
